August and September bring the Silver Salmon into the Kenai River and Kasilof River and many other streams on the Kenai Peninsula. Guided Kenai River fishing trips start in early August. These fish average 6 - 12 pounds with the potential of reaching 20 pounds. They very aggressively take flies both on the surface and streamers fished sub surface. Bright chrome fish fresh from the ocean often chase surface flies with aggressive strikes. Either by Fly fishing or with conventional tackle, these fish will provide fast action once you set the hook. |

| Silver Salmon fishing is available to us in several ways. We can wade fish streams on the Kenai Peninsula, drift boat fish the Kenai River or Kasilof River or, for the more adventurous, fly out to a remote stream and spend the day chasing these fish. As with all of our fishing, your goals as our guest are paramount. Therefore, please let us know your goals, for example, if you "just want to catch Silvers" or if you "want to catch Silvers on the surface", etc. |
